Welcome from Mr Charlie Johnson, Principal

As Principal, I am pleased to welcome you to Trinity Academy Sowerby Bridge, a new school which is on a rapid journey towards being outstanding.

This is an exciting time for the academy; there are a number of changes taking place to ensure that we achieve our vision to become outstanding.

Our flagship school within Trinity Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) – Trinity Academy Halifax was placed in the top 3% of schools nationally in 2017; through the same visions and by utilising their support, we are tailoring established systems and processes to ensure they work for the academy and our students, with a particular focus on discipline and the quality of teaching and learning.

We can already see that in a very short period of time we have created an environment where teachers can focus on delivering the best lessons and students can focus on learning. We are determined that our students benefit from an exceptional education that places no ceiling on what they can achieve.

Our mantra of Culture + Consistency = Excellence is already delivering results; from the way students respect one another, to how we celebrate successes, to students understanding how to make progress – there has been huge impact in a short space of time. Whether you are a future student, parent, member of staff or an interested member of the local community, we look forward to hearing how Trinity Academy Sowerby Bridge has, will be, or could be, part of your future.

Welcome from Mr M Gosling, CEO

As CEO of the Trinity MAT, I offer you a warm welcome to Trinity Academy Sowerby Bridge. Trinity MAT’s ethos is a simple one – to ensure that young people in our care fulfil their potential.  Everything we do is in pursuit of that one aim.  Our foundations are strong, formed as they have been through a commitment to inclusive education, extremely high standards for all and not accepting that we can’t.  Indeed, we strongly believe that we can, whatever the challenge is.

We are a Church of England (CoE) trust, and in keeping with our principles we welcome schools of all faiths and none.  We also include an exciting variety of institutions, from primary to post-16 education, ranging in size from 180 to 1800 students.

Effective collaboration, across a wide number of schools, is an important part of who we are. Ours is a considered approach to growth, with like-minded people who share the same values.
